To see Tim Essquare live is to surrender your sense of time and your common sense to his. He dazzles you with a film that is both funny and smart telling the story of a being who falls to earth (in the middle of Times Square) in the year 2012. Timmy, a sexless alien of sorts teams up with the members of "The Signs" his rock band of pretty boys, and it's about time! He dons a priest's collar (who gave it to Timmy not wanting him to be naked)and a star of David (from a Rabbi at a Bar Mitzvah). He mixes his signs and metaphors deliciously like a new fancy martini (wearing both the Star and Collar simultaneously). This is intended to create harm-ony. We, the audience are told that if we don't turn off our cell phones some nasty temporal disturbances may occur, "usually in the form of premature aging". Since our culture is so youth obcessed..we turn our cell phones OFF! We are also told that Timmy is playing a bunch of intimate city performances called "intimicities" because in 2012 the band is SOOOOO famous, they had to strip down their act for the future. Once the music starts, you believe it! 
A combination of hip hop beats and hard rock glam influences, Timmy is hardly timid..His ID is in tact throughout by singing such songs as "Sex in the Name of God" and "I'm Not Gay"..the lyrics to which are "I'm not gay but if i were I'd still LOVE you..." (sometimes he says F%^k you).. "I'm not straight, 'cause the wardrobe's too bland, I'm not bi cuz that's too many of you..I'm not gay but would you hold my hand?" Timmy tackles all the facistic rules of society with a marghuerita's worth of salt.
Slow Motion Floater is as dreamy as a space oddity can be. It has a James Bond quality, very sensual and symphonic but it rocks!..He claims "I'll be a Billionaire and build a giant stairway for everyone to climb" but for now we'll just float in slow motion. It's a nice sentiment, file under things that make you go AAAAAAHHHHHH.
 Some other choice lyrics I recall are
"Sex in the Name of God, just a thought I had while making Love..seems to be a better way to go"
If you are one of the fortunate few to catch one of Timmy's intimicities, you'll likely end up saying to yourself "I know what he means" OR like a witness to a night rainbow or shooting star you may say "what was that?" ~Patti Rothberg, 9.23.06
